I wonder how many distribution center clerks will stuff one of the games down their pants and be playing it before anyone else even gets their copy. LOL You do know distribution centers get the games before retail merchants? (smile) And then one has to wonder, who's game will it be that they stuffed down their pants. Will it be yours or yours or maybe even yours!! hehe

But since GW and GWF are online games, you can't play it before they grant access to their server even if you get the copy.

If you get the pre-order package, you can play Factions 24 hours before release.

hi i am trying to find out what the connectivity will b between the new chapter and the original.. how will we be able to or will we .. use our characters in the new chapter.. will we be able to take the new characters from factions to the chapter 1 map.
will we also be able to take any items that we find from chapter 2 to chapter 1?
i cant seem to find out anything morew about the game i.e. what we will actually be doign etc

OK, I now have a little more information on the European preorders that I can share:

* For anyone who *does not* have an original Prophecies campaign account, there will be online preorders available from 3rd March that will include a key granting access to the FPE and the preorder items.

* For everyone else, our preorder box will be available in stores from 31st March. The key in this box will give you access to the preorder items, and there are a few other things in the box.

For both of the above, I don't yet know which stores will be participating. I'll let you know as soon as I do

Any info on what the difference will be between the Collectors Edition and the Pre-order? I can't decide if I should pre-order or wait for a Collector's Edition...

So if you buy this box you get the goodies, but you wont get the install cd and have to download everything?

The preorder and the CE are completely separate products - the CE contents have zero overlap with the preorder. You should ask your local store whether you can preorder a CE and get the preorder box ... I can't see why you wouldn't, it'd be silly for any store to refuse given you'd be commiting to a higher priced purchase.

um, alex, any idea which stores in the UK will be getting the Pre-Order boxes....
(orderd both the CE and normal thru my local GAME store and was wondering wheater they will be getting any pre-order boxes....might as well ask if they are getting some, i have a friend that could well become hooked if i let him use a froob account for the game hehe)

i think alex means that unless you pre-order from a store that is getting the PreOrderPacks, you wont be able to get the freebiees and the froob trial for a friend that come with the pack...

(the reason i was asking for a list of the pre-order-pack stockists n the uk....if the store i already pre-ordered from is getting them, since i think so far im the frist person in that store to even order a copy of factions ^^ im sure i can persuade them to let me have one preOrder pack *since i preordered both normal and CE, they would get 2 packs and can have the other one back heheh* i can be pretty persuasive

*edit* when he says Zero-overlap....means that the free stuff that comes in a preOrderPack is not connected to collectors edition, wont clash with and will not cause problems with....like getting a pair of rabbit ears in the CE and getting a pointy hat in the PrePack....

Does that mean we can't use an online pre-order if we have the Prophecies campaign? The only reason I ask is that online copies of the game tend to be cheaper (by quite a bit) than what we can get in stores in the UK.
